There's nothing better than a lazy dreaming in a backyard after a working day. You may take a blanket but you may also enjoy in one of these design gems. Bob Copray and Niels Wildenberg are designers behind Mal 1956, a piece inspired by the designs of 1950's. The lounge set is a plastic product, extremely suited for outdoor use with an ergonomic design and a subtle drainage system to prevent stagnant water from collecting in the seat. However, Copray and Wildenberg's masterpiece is a 225 cm tall lamp called Lummel. It will lighten up every lazy summer evening. It is adjustable in height and direction and available in orange, blue, red, white, grey, yellow, green, and black color. It will be available by the middle of June 2013.

Back in 1976 a small steel fabrication business was launched by Wolfgang Schroeter in Barrie, Ontario, Canada. With time, the business evolved in Napoleon Fireplaces, Napoleon Gourmet Grills and Napoleon Casual Furniture. One of the most interesting pieces is an oversized furniture set for your backyard. Which should be oversized, too. Cushioned high back chairs and loveseat are constructed from a strong, durable, heavy gauge and weather resistant aluminum frame and Old Kubu 5mm wicker. Cushions are made with high density foam and covered with Heather White fabric. Coffee table includes a 5mm thick clear tempered glass.
While you a enjoying in your backyard, don't forget the youngest members of the family. Designer Antonio Arico has something for them, old concept but executed in a novel way. The Swing Chair idea comes from a research on characters and personalities that are generally hidden in products. The Swing Chair is a living marionette with its own presence and character. More than a flying chair, it's an invitation to dream and play, but also a sweet metaphor. ■
