Owings Mills Woman Wins $50,000 in Bonus Match 5 Drawing

OWINGS MILLS, MD - A local entrepreneur from Owings Mills celebrated Thanksgiving with an unexpected windfall, winning $50,000 in the Bonus Match 5 lottery drawing on November 23. A frequent player of Bonus Match 5, Powerball, and Mega Millions, she purchased her winning ticket during a work break on Thanksgiving Day. Visiting Quick Mart in Randallstown, she opted for an $18 Bonus Match 5 quick-pick ticket for three drawings. It wasn't until later in the evening, while still at work, that she thought to check the numbers. Her husband, after verifying the win, rushed to her workplace to deliver the news in person. The Baltimore County resident and her family were astounded by the win, requiring multiple checks of the ticket and even a confirmation from the Lottery retailer. The mother of three plans to allocate a portion of her prize towards her youngest daughter's college expenses, invest some of the funds, and use the remainder to start a new business. Quick Mart, located at 8601 Liberty Road in Randallstown, also receives a $500 bonus from the Lottery for selling the $50,000 top-prize winning ticket.
